The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Minerals Agency (NMA) Mr Moshe Roberts, Director General Mr. Sahr Wonde and the Director of Mines Peter Kapre Bangura visited SMHL mining operations on the 1st July 2017. The purpose of the visit is to understand the company Bauxite mining operations including the wet and dry beneficiation processes. The contingent was taken on a conducted tour by the Acting general manager Mr. Basudeb Datta and senior mines officers of SMHL.
Mr. Robert was left with admiration on the transformation of the company and the way forward plan the operations. He admired the transparent manner in which the company conducts its business. He said the meeting and conducted tour is informative and believe SMHL plans in the future will help to create more jobs and revenue for the Government of Sierra Leone.
