Hassan Kabia is a dedicated professional with a strong foundation in geology, having earned his Bachelor’s degree from the esteemed University of Sierra Leone – Fourah Bay College. And further attained a Certificate in Mineral Resource Management at Jiangxi College of Foreign Studies, China.
His journey in the mining industry began at London Mining Company, where he served as a Hydro-geologist for four years, from 2012 to 2016. Notably, Hassan also shared his expertise as a Lecturer at IBATECH during this time, further enriching his knowledge and communication skills.
Subsequently, he embarked on a progressive career at SMHL, initially as a Mining Supervisor and swiftly ascending to the role of Mining Superintendent. His hands-on experience in the field and leadership skills were clearly evident during this phase.
Today, Hassan Kabia proudly serves as the Mine Manager at Sierra Minerals, where he combines his academic background, years of practical experience, and demonstrated leadership capabilities to drive success in the mining sector.
